As the 2023 Tour de France starts in the Basque Country we’re celebrating the birth of the Euskadi Cycling Team which hailed from the region.

From it’s start in 1994 the captivating orange kit came to be one of the stallwarts of the peloton representing the cyclng mad Basque Country.

Starting as an amateur team and maintaining a Basque-centric ethos throughout it’s existence, the Euskadi team wasn’t selected for the 1994 race however it would later provide some of the most famous imagery in cycling history.
