In case you hadn’t heard, we’re well into festival season throughout the country, with events taking place from the far north of Scotland right down to the warmer climes of the Isle of Wight. But if you don’t fancy getting muddied up in a campsite, or if the music just isn’t to your taste, why not take to the bicycle instead? Whether you’re a newcomer to the sport, or a seasoned cyclist, it’s a pastime to relish in the glorious (we’re being optimistic here) summer days ahead. This is a time for chilling out, taking a well-deserved long weekend and heading out on some leisurely rides.
When all you really need is a decent sized tote bag for the essentials, (we’re talking a light lunch, some tunes on the iPod and of course a drink or two) nobody wants to lug a huge rucksack around. So, we have just that; a super stylish, bicycle pannier bag that’s just at home attached to a bike as it is off on a shopping excursion.
And that’s not all – when you pause for a break, while away the time with a few games of Battle of the Bikes. That’s a trump card game purely about bicycles, nicely illustrated by David Sparshott. You’ll feel like a kid again AND you’ll have learnt some important facts (these may come in useful when purchasing your next bike). Could it get any better?
Enjoying the British summer by bicycle has to be a great festival substitute! Don’t forget your cycling themed coffee cups and mugs for enjoying that post ride (or festival) brew. What do you have planned?
